1st Ski Day of the Year 11/8/09
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009- Winter has finally arrived bringing a lot of rain to Hood River and snow to Mt Hood. Some friends and I headed up to the mountain to do a little hiking, riding, jumping, and laughing. I love that the winter surprises me again every year. I get my boots in the snow and all of a sudden I feel like a little kid again. The smiles and high fives come easily, and though I think that I might have forgotten proper “fore and aft” it all comes back within the first turn, and life is again simple. Aaaauuuugh. I can breath, and it is refreshing. Opening day at Meadows is tomorrow!!! Bring on the ski season.
